I also have a wire for the headphones that came with it can I just plug it into the capture card or the controller itself?

Mac pre M1 chip isn’t too great to stream on, especially on an MacBook Air. Stream using the x264 encoder and use CBR as the bit rate. Drop your bitrate to 6000kbps. Try these setting for your case and let me know how it goes.

Yep all platforms, just plug your mic into your phone and you can hear the game and talk to chat. Check out the full video for an example.

Depends on your internet speeds and if your ps5 is on wifi. For me, I don’t experience delay. But again this is just until you’re able to lvl up your setup with a capture card down the line.

Without a capture card, you can just connect your headphones to your Mac and add an input audio capture source for your headphones. It may pick up your headphone mic or not. Problem is your party chat/game chat won’t hear you.

Yeah if it’s laggy it’s due to your internet speeds or if you’re using wifi. Anyways, this is just a work around for until you can get a capture card 👍🏾

@DatSamurai I have 1gb internet and I'm using ethernet. I ended up just running to the store and bought a capture card. Thanks for the workaround tho.

@@DatSamurai - I'll certainly consider any advice you give -- Of course I'm kind of restarting my channel, so I won't be trying to do anything with those existing videos, just sort of leave them there. My videos were pretty boring, I know a bit more now than I did 4 years ago.

Only if you plug in your headset. If you don’t, you’ll capture it but you can’t talk to randoms. 😤

You mean reaching affiliate on Twitch? It’s all the same. You get subscribers on UA-cam, then stream on both Twitch and UA-cam.

It will vary depending on your internet speeds and if you’re on WiFi or not. For me, I experienced no lag, but that’s because I have gigabit speeds and both my pc and ps5 are Ethernet not WiFi.

hey so i couldnt find the xbox app when i clicked on window in the window capture area

not sure why it won’t work for me but when i go to the xbox app and look next to my gamertag on the top left it only gives me the notification button and the stream button has just completely vanished. how do i fix this?

@@renksofficial make sure that the app is up to date. Also maybe your console isn’t attached to your Microsoft account. Log into your Microsoft account on a browser and see if you can find your console on that account. Your PC account and Console accounts have to be the same.

Did you make sure you got the cables plugged correctly? Also try restarting your Mac and try again. Sometimes OBS needs a good reset.

OBS can run on a Linux OS which you can activate in your Chromebook developer settings. But it seems like it doesn’t actually run the app when downloaded. Take a look at this forum and see if you can follow the steps one guy laid out. obsproject.com/forum/threads/installing-obs-on-new-chromebook.157025/

I don’t recommend using a Chromebook to stream with OBS though. If you can get a Windows gaming laptop, you will have no issues.

Add it as a custom RTMP. You just need the destination URL and Stream Key and enter it into OBS. Bigo should give you that info when you’re setting up your live stream.

There's a few ways. If you only have one screen your MacBook), you can do a popout chat window and have it on the side, or set your phone up and use it to read chat. You can also use third party plugins that pin your chat to the side of OBS. I use StreamElements.com. With stream elements. you can make a transparent chat overlay on your stream so people can see it.

Got to your audio settings and push your party chat through HDMI rather than your headphones. That should get it to work. Just switch it from headphones to HDMI

From the PDF guide (link in description): In the source section to the right of “scenes”, click the plus button to add a new source. We are going to add a “Window Capture”. Name it something like “Game Capture” and click OK. You should see a new window pop up with some settings. For “Window” select [Remote Play.exe]: PS Remote Play. NOTE: You might see a black screen in the preview when you select this. Change “Capture Method” from “Automatic” to “Windows 10 (1903 and up)”. Mines say Windows 10 but it might say 11 if you are running Windows 11. This should make the capture pop up.

In terms of the game audio, yes. I recommend Elgato’s capture cards, but I did a video comparing some cheaper alternatives: ua-cam.com/video/2Qdx4wwwk90/v-deo.htmlsi=MLiXcMoIcvg9Yn9y Go Elgato if you can but if not, go Mirabox for a decent alternative.

Make sure a your iPhone is up to date and signed in to the same Apple ID as your Mac. If that’s all good, the just restart your Mac and try it again. Usually this works.
